Immortal, Lord Jesus Rebooted Himself – “He Is Risen!” Mortals, We Must Reboot Education So That Powerful Minds Rise!

Easter Sunday, 09 April 2023. But this new morning does not reboot the old evening of our UPLB-led Agricultural Education – that is to say, the education of Filipinos minding farming the American Way. The UP System was set up – (note phrase “set up”) by the American Thomasites (with their American Superiors) – that is how Philippine education became “modern.” Modern, but not Superior. So, what do we have now? Modern Climate Change!

Easter – “The Lord has risen!” It is Easter Sunday – that is like rebooting Christianity. We Christians of the world for centuries have not agreed on a fixed date for it (Britannica, “Easter”), but today we must agree to rise from the cave of our own construction/destruction and redeem ourselves.

What happened between 06 March 1908 – when UP College of Agriculture (UPCA, now UP Los Baños) was founded – and today, 115 years later, 2023? Chemical Agriculture (CA), that’s what – did you notice that College of Agriculture has the same acronym as Chemical Agriculture? CA taught us CA!

And now, the lesson should be on Climate Change (CC), but CC is ignored in favor of CA! The educators in State Colleges and Universities of the Philippines (SCUs, 102 total: Wikipedia, en.wikipedia.org) don’t know what they’re teaching? SCUs do, but they are behaving like robots. What they know, they teach – what they don’t know about, either they don’t care or are unaware; otherwise, they would have taught themselves!

Robots – Reboot! “The teacher must be taught!” This teacher is saying; his credentials – “BSA major in Ag Edu” granted by UPCA in 1965, and “Civil Service Professional” granted by the Civil Service (CS) with his 80.6% grade in the very 1^st CS exam in 1964 in San Pablo City.

In all SCUs, we must teach all the teachers Organic Agriculture (OA), then we can look forward to defeating Farmer Poverty and simultaneously Climate Change! OA generates zero greenhouse gases and therefore, zero contribution to climate change. OA costs less and returns more and therefore, higher farmer income. What more could we ask for?!

“Project Reboot” in the United Kingdom is for “closing the digital divide” – showing the world. We in the Philippines must reboot education itself to close “The Education Divide!” We Educators must save Education ourselves. I chose the “Reboot” image because of the Infinity symbol – power comes from the Infinite.

“Celebrate the Savior” says the subtitle of the top image; He is the Divine Savior. Given the chaos we humans have constructed now called Climate Change, we mortals must create our savior on earth.
